Our story

Dock Hopper / Winchester, Tennessee

A different way to get there began close to home.

We loved the food and atmosphere at a waterfront restaurant. Getting to it was the hard part. That experience set Dock Hopper in motion—and today the ride is an enjoyable part of the outing for everyone.

01 / Why we began
“My husband had mobility issues and couldn’t navigate the stairs to the restaurant. We loved the food and the atmosphere, so we knew there had to be others in the same position.”

One difficult arrival sparked a new idea.

The restaurant was worth the trip. We started thinking about another way to approach it: from the water. Dock Hopper grew from that personal experience into a courtesy boat ride anyone can choose for a waterfront meal.
